RANGERS ace Alex Lowry has been pictured with crutches and a knee brace after being stretchered off the B team against Dumbarton.

The youngster was on the end of a heavy challenge from Ally Love, which resulted in the midfielder being booked.

Lowry has since had a scan on his knee, but the club are still yet to release the diagnosis.

SFA compliance officer Andrew Phillips will not get involved in overturning the referee's decision to give a yellow card on the night.

Rangers B boss David McCallum said: "I've just watched one of our brightest talents get a tackle that I thought was wrong.

"I thought that with the timing of the game, the game was gone, there's no need for that to happen.

"We've now got someone sitting in that dressing room in Alex Lowry who has got a real sore one.

"I want to talk to the players about the performance, because it was a really strong performance, but right now, my emotions are more concerned about Alex.

"My concerns are there for a tackle that I've watched back and is nothing short of wrong and it was wrong at this time of the game for sure."
